Description:
– Quasi-static mooring feasibility study for a generic Gusto P-10000 type drillship at the Curaçao jetty using OrcaFlex.
– Development of the vessel and mooring model, incorporating mooring dolphins, quick-release hooks, eleven mooring lines and four pneumatic fenders.
– Hydrodynamic diffraction analysis in OrcaWave to determine mean wave-drift forces for the mooring assessment.
– Assessment of intact and single-line-failure conditions under combined wind, current and wave loading from eight environmental headings.
– Evaluation of mooring-line tensions, hook and bollard loads, fender reactions and vessel excursions against the study acceptance criteria.
– Identification of governing mooring loads and operational considerations to support assessment of the existing jetty infrastructure.
