Alkor Barge – STS Crane Transportation and Mooring Studies

Client: Turquoise Engineering

Description:
– Marine engineering studies in Bentley MOSES for ship-to-shore (STS) crane transportation aboard Alkor barge and mooring at load-out and load-in ports.
– Frequency-domain motion analysis for the Haydarpasa-to-Mardas transport case, including hydrodynamic modelling and response amplitude operators (RAOs).
– Evaluation of motions and accelerations at the barge-and-crane centre of gravity, crane centre of gravity and crane boom tip, together with dynamic forces at the crane centre of gravity.
– Static mooring analysis for the Tekirdag Ceyport load-out and Ambarli Marport load-in arrangements, each using six steel-wire mooring lines.
– Assessment of intact and single-line failure conditions under wind, current and mean wave-drift loading from eight environmental headings.
– Evaluation of barge excursions and checks of mooring-line safety factors and barge and quayside bollard capacities against the study criteria.
