Akcakoca Platform – Dynamic Lift and Stability Study

Client: Turquoise Engineering

Description:
– Dynamic lift and vessel stability analysis in Bentley MOSES for vent-boom removal from the Akcakoca platform using GSP Altair.
– Hydrodynamic modelling of the vessel and suspended boom, including the crane main line and two lifting slings.
– Time-domain simulations under combined wind, wave and current loading across eight environmental headings.
– Evaluation of dynamic hook loads, sling loads, dynamic amplification factors, crane boom-tip motions and vessel and lifted-boom motions.
– Determination of limiting sea states for two crane boom-tip roll and pitch criteria.
– Intact stability assessment with the boom suspended, including compartment and loading-condition modelling and evaluation of righting and heeling arms.
