Floating Dry Dock Mooring Analysis

Client: Sea Delta Marine & Offshore Engineering (UAE)

Description:
– Time-domain mooring analysis in Bentley MOSES for a floating dry dock berthed alongside a jetty.
– Assessment of the dock in empty and vessel-loaded conditions at highest and lowest astronomical tides.
– Modelling of 13 mooring lines, eight shore bollards and six fenders arranged at three longitudinal locations.
– Evaluation of dynamic mooring tensions, bollard loads, fender reactions and dock motions under wind, wave and current loading, accounting for jetty shielding.
– Assessment of intact and critical mooring-line failure scenarios.
– Verification of mooring-line safety factors against API RP 2SK criteria and bollard loads against safe working load capacities.
